Ever since I was a little kid, my favorite time of the year was summer. Being outside in the sun, listening to the birds chirping, and enjoying the warm breeze was something I looked forward to all year round. So, when I was deciding what I wanted to do as a career, I knew teaching would be a great way to not only help kids out, but still get to enjoy my favorite time of year! This plan worked out great, until my wife and I had our first child. I knew then, that I wanted my wife to be able to stay home with our children, and I also knew I was going to have to find a second job to support our family. I thought about how I could still support my family, without giving up my time outside enjoying summer, and I started mowing lawns in the summer of 1991. What started out as just me on a lawn mower, quickly grew into a multi-franchise corporation with many different employees. We started looking for other ways we could help our customers improve their outdoor living spaces, and we found Nite Time Décor and Christmas Décor. Now I couldhelp my customers year-round, and in 2002 I taught my last class and entered this industry full time. While I’m no longer in the classroom, I’m still able to help instruct my employees and teach them how to do business right- by putting the needs of the customer’s first, always having a positive and helpful attitude, treating everyone and everything with respect, and having fun in the process!
